If wedding planning has ever made the room feel smaller, louder, and a whole lot less like you, I am so glad you found your way here.

Welcome to Moon & Bee Paper Co, y’all. We are a paper goods and planning studio for couples who want something more honest than a checklist and more useful than a pretty binder that never quite fits their life.

Our flagship product, the ELOPED. planner, will open for preorder on Halloween Eve, October 30. Then our full website, with all the sweat, tears, and heartfelt things we have been dreaming up, will go live on Friday, November 13, at midnight.

This first note is not a glossy brand announcement. It is a front porch welcome. It is a hand on the shoulder. It is me saying, “I have been where you are, and I made something because I needed it too.”

The first pages started as something private and handwritten.

I could not find the planner I needed, so I made one

I am a bride-to-be myself.

For nearly a year, I searched for a wedding planner that actually worked for the event I imagined. Not the event someone else assumed I wanted. Not the one that started with a ballroom, a head table, and a guest count that made my stomach twist. Not the one that treated the whole day like a production I was supposed to manage with a smile.

I wanted something beautiful, yes. But more than that, I wanted something true.

I wanted room for quiet. Room for meaning. Room for a ceremony that did not have to explain itself to everyone else before it could feel valid to me.

And I just did not find it.

I found plenty of planners that looked lovely on the outside. I found timelines, vendor lists, seating charts, budget pages, and the usual wedding planning prompts. Some of them were well made. Some were clearly created with care.

But I kept feeling like the industry was built for someone who was not me.

That is a hard feeling to explain until it happens. You sit down to plan one of the most tender days of your life, and somehow the tools in front of you make you feel like an outsider at your own event. Like you are being asked to pay for advice, pages, and expectations that do not even make you feel seen.

So I decided to elope.

At first, that felt like the answer. Smaller. More personal. More us.

Then the questions started pouring in.

How do we tell family?

How do we choose the location?

How do we pick the setting?

How do we write vows that sound like us?

How do we coordinate travel without turning it into a second job?

How do we build a photography timeline when we have never planned a day like this before?

How do we keep it intimate without feeling like we are leaving people behind?

How do we make decisions when every answer seems scattered across another corner of the internet?

That was the part I did not expect. Eloping solved one set of pressures, then handed me a whole new basket of headaches.

Eloping should feel freeing, not lonely

There is a strange little gap in the wedding world.

Traditional weddings have planning tools everywhere. Big binders. Long lists. Advice from every direction.

Elopements have inspiration everywhere. Pretty photos. Mountain views. Courthouse steps. Desert sunsets. City hall kisses. Cabin weekends. Coastal mornings.

But between the inspiration and the actual day, there is a lot of space.

That space is where many couples get stuck.

You can know you want to elope and still have no clue how to start. You can know you want the day to feel personal and still feel frozen by all the choices. You can want something simple and still find yourself fighting over places, travel, family conversations, money, outfits, vows, and what time the photographer should arrive.

My partner and I hit that point.

We were stressed. We were arguing. We could not agree. We both wanted the same outcome, a day that felt like us, but the planning process kept pulling us into frustration. Suddenly the thing that was supposed to feel peaceful had become one more reason to sit on opposite ends of the couch, tired and annoyed.

That is when I stopped waiting for the right tool to appear.

I opened a notebook and started building my own way forward.

Not a perfect system. Not a fancy product. Just a private, handwritten document for myself. A place to gather the decisions that actually mattered and ignore the ones that did not. A place to make the invisible parts of eloping feel solid enough to hold.

I wrote prompts that helped us talk instead of spiral.

I made room for the emotional parts, like telling family and naming what we were afraid of.

I built planning pages around the things eloping couples really need, like choosing a setting, shaping the ceremony, sorting travel, writing vows, and building a photo timeline that supports the day instead of swallowing it whole.

Slowly, it started to work.

Not in a dramatic way. More like a deep breath. More like finally finding the right door after walking past a dozen locked ones.

Elopement planning can be calm when the path is clear.

What the ELOPED. planner is really for

The ELOPED. planner grew from that notebook.

At first, I only made it for me. Then I shared parts of it with friends. They used it, responded to it, and gently kept saying the same thing.

“You should do something with this.”

For a while, I did not.

Life was full. Work was work. Dreams were dreams. I had an art studio in my heart and a 9-to-5 on my calendar, and like a lot of folks, I kept telling myself I would get to it someday.

Then my partner retired me from my 9-to-5 so I could pursue my art studio fully.

That sentence still makes me emotional.

The ELOPED. planner is part product, yes. But it is also a thank you. It is my way of honoring the support he gave me and the life we are building together. For the first year and a half that Moon & Bee Paper Co is operating, I will be taking all the profit I can and putting it toward our own elopement as a surprise to him.

That means this little book carries more than pages.

It carries hope. Gratitude. A whole lot of late nights. And a belief that couples deserve planning tools that meet them where they are.

The ELOPED. planner is for the couple who wants a meaningful day without performing for everyone else.

It is for the person who has sixteen tabs open and still does not know what to do first.

It is for the couple who loves the idea of eloping, but needs help turning that feeling into a plan.

It is for the bride-to-be who has felt left out of the wedding aisle, the planning aisle, and the conversation entirely.

It is for the folks who want something small, sacred, adventurous, quiet, joyful, private, or all of the above.

And yes, it is an elopement planner, but my deepest hope is that it feels more like a steady friend than a list of assignments.

The heart behind Moon & Bee Paper Co

Moon & Bee Paper Co is built around two ideas that matter a lot to me.

The moon reminds me of timing, tenderness, and the quiet pull that brings us back to ourselves.

The bee reminds me of craft, devotion, and the small work that makes something sweet.

Put together, they feel like home to me. A little mystical, a little earthy, and very much rooted in making beautiful things that serve a real purpose.

That is what I want this company to be.

Not just paper for paper’s sake. Not just pretty products. Not one more shop telling people what their wedding, home, journal, or life should look like.

I want Moon & Bee Paper Co to be a place for thoughtful planning and meaningful keepsakes. A place where beauty has a job to do. A place where the pages are kind, useful, and honest.

Welcome to the Moon & Bee Paper Co ELOPED. Unlocked blog, too. This space will grow alongside the shop. I will be sharing guidance for planning an elopement that feels personal, grounded, and possible.

You can expect posts about things like:

  • Choosing an elopement location without getting overwhelmed

  • Telling family with care and clear words

  • Writing vows when you do not know where to begin

  • Building a simple photography timeline

  • Packing for a destination elopement

  • Creating a ceremony that feels intimate and real

  • Understanding what decisions matter most and which ones can stay simple

This blog is not here to boss you around. It is here to offer a hand.

Why planning an elopement can feel harder than expected

One reason elopement planning gets tricky is that there are fewer built-in rules.

That freedom is wonderful. It is also a little wild.

A traditional wedding often comes with a familiar order. Venue, invite list, wedding party, dinner, dancing, send-off. Even if you change every piece, the basic shape is easy to picture.

An elopement can be anything.

A sunrise hike.

A courthouse morning and dinner at your favorite restaurant.

A weekend cabin trip.

A ceremony in your parents’ backyard with just a few witnesses.

A coastal road trip.

A private vow exchange before meeting family later.

That kind of choice can bring out questions you did not know you needed to answer.

What does privacy mean to us?

Who, if anyone, needs to be there?

Are we okay with people being disappointed?

Do we want adventure, comfort, or both?

What would make the day feel honest instead of just beautiful?

How much planning is enough?

A generic wedding template usually does not help with those questions. It might tell you to book a florist or choose linens, but it may not help you decide whether to invite your siblings, how to set boundaries with loving but opinionated relatives, or how to create a timeline when your ceremony location requires travel.

That is the need I kept running into.

I did not need more vague inspiration. I needed practical guidance with a little emotional honesty tucked in.

What you can expect from ELOPED.

The ELOPED. planner is being created for real decision-making.

It is meant to help you move from “Where do we even start?” to “Okay, we know what comes next.”

While every couple’s day will look different, the planner is built to support the big pieces that show up again and again in elopement planning.

It helps you name what you actually want

Before you start choosing locations or booking anything, it helps to know what kind of experience you are trying to create.

Not just the look of the day. The feel of it.

Quiet or celebratory. Far away or close to home. Just the two of you or a handful of loved ones. Simple, adventurous, sentimental, playful, private, or something in between.

When you know what matters most, the rest of the choices get a little less noisy.

It makes the emotional pieces easier to face

Eloping can bring up tenderness.

Family may have feelings. Friends may ask questions. You may feel guilty, relieved, excited, nervous, or all of that in the same afternoon.

The planner makes space for those conversations instead of pretending they do not exist.

It turns scattered questions into a clear path

You should not have to collect your plan from a dozen search results and three half-finished notes apps.

ELOPED. gathers the pieces in one place, so the plan can grow in a way that makes sense.

It keeps the day centered on the commitment

Pretty details can be lovely.

But the heart of an elopement is the promise being made.

The planner keeps bringing the focus back to the two people at the center, because that is the part worth protecting.

What is launching and when

Here is what is coming next.

Halloween Eve, October 30

The ELOPED. planner opens for preorder. If you have been craving a planning guide that understands elopements from the inside out, this is the one to watch for.

Friday, November 13, at midnight

The full Moon & Bee Paper Co website goes live, with our full collection of products and more details about what we are building.

I can hardly wait to show you everything.

There is something tender about opening the doors to a place that started as a private notebook. I still remember the version of me who felt unseen by the wedding world. I remember how frustrated I was. I remember how badly I wanted someone to say, “You are not doing this wrong. You just need a different kind of map.”

That is what I hope Moon & Bee Paper Co becomes.

A different kind of map.

A place for the couple who wants beauty with a backbone. Meaning with a plan. Romance without pressure. Guidance that feels human.

I am so glad you are here

If you are new here, welcome.

If you are eloping, thinking about eloping, or secretly wondering whether a traditional wedding is even what you want, you are welcome too.

If planning has made you cry in the car, snap at your partner, avoid your inbox, or question whether wanting something different makes you difficult, please hear me clearly.

You are not difficult for wanting a day that feels like yours.

You are not ungrateful for wanting something smaller.

You are not behind because you do not know how to plan something you have never planned before.

You are allowed to build a wedding day with care, honesty, and room to breathe.

Moon & Bee Paper Co began because I needed help I could not find. Now I get to offer that help to someone else, one page at a time.

The ELOPED. planner is coming soon, and I hope it meets you right where you are.
